Whoops! It seems I have forgotten to participate in Planting Chums (click on the button above for details) hosted by Hannah @ Aspire, in which I said I would. Sorry, Hannah! Okay, this week, we're supposed to talk about our favorite game. HERE's a link to Hannah's post about her fav game.
Alright, ooh. This is going to be a difficult one! Yikes! Mmm, mmm, mmm. It's so hard to choose. *taps chin* Well, my favorite game, isn't really a board game, or a card game. It's: HIDE-AND-GO-SEEK-IN-THE-DARK. Hannah, I hope that still counts! :)
Oh my goodness, if you've ever played this game before, you probably still haven't experienced the fun of it.... until you play with me and my sisters. lol =D Oh wow, we have TONS of fun with this game. We usually only play it when we have friends over, and that's what makes it so fun. Like, for instance, while my cousin, Nate was here this April with my aunt and uncle, we played HIDE-AND-GO-SEEK-IN-THE-DARK almost every night. =) Nate liked to hide in difficult spots, and it was actually quite frustrating, because 9 times out of ten he was the last person found, unless he was the one counting. Then I'm the last one found. :) We play to where the first person found is "it" (meaning, they have to count to 100 and find the peeps who are hiding). Anyways, one hiding spot that Caldirwen, Nate and I hid in was behind our schoolroom couch. Esara kept coming into the schoolroom saying to Narthea (who wasn't playing, just observing:), "I'm very thorough when I search for people, so I'm sure I haven't even passed them yet," and it was like the 5th time she had passed us. It was all we could do to not bust out laughing and give away our hiding spot. =D
Ooh, another place that I (yes, I) found that was sooooo sweet(!) was hiding behind the bathroom door. Okay, you might be thinking, "What's so sweet about that?" But, the sweetness is, the bathroom is where we counted. We'd close the door, turn on the vent (so we couldn't hear the noises the "hiders" were making) and count to 100. Well, no one ever thought to look in there, so what I would do was hide behind my bedroom door (which is at the end of the hallway, and no one EVER went down there first.... remember, it's dark), and then when the person who is "it" left and went into, like, the schoolroom or somewhere, I would sneak out of my room and get behind the bathroom door. Then, after everyone else was found, I'd hop out before they saw where I was hiding. I used that spot over and over, until Nate finally pried it out of me, then (when neither of us were "it") we would hide back there. I know, what was I think giving away my totally rad hiding spot to my cousin who was AWESOME at finding places to hide? I don't know. *throws hands up* Maybe it was because he kept telling me he was going to hide in my closet and make freaky noises when I would go back there to look for someone hiding. Maybe it was because he kept bugging me about how creepy being locked outside in the dark would be. *shrugs shoulders* Whatever the case was, I let my secret out, and from then on Nate would follow me back behind the bathroom door, and then tell me jokes that would make me want to laugh, and give away my awesome discovery. Besides the frustrations of having to share my hiding spot with an annoying pickle-of-a-cousin, it was sooo much fun! No one figured out where we were hiding. *knuckles with Nate* lol =D
Anyways, Hannah, I sure hope that counts as the kind of game you were wanting to hear about. :) Thank you to everyone who is participating in my {Let's Party, Shall We?} blog party! I'm sooooo excited about the turn-out! =D
Ashley, just in case it is you that wins, that will be perfectly fine if you're not here when I announce the winner. I will just leave you a comment on your most recent post if it is you, so that when you get back you won't have to search through the blog posts on your dashboard to see (or the posts on my blog, because, you know, I post about 5 times a day! lol). Okee, dokee? ;)

Cool... :)
Here's mine! http://charebear1010.blogspot.com/2010/04/planting-chums-week-2.html
Hugs!!! :) Watch out for those snakes...
Too fun!
We have friends that play this almost every night and they dress in ninja attire to add to the effect!
Blessings,
Rachel
Oh.... I *love* Hide-and-Go-Seek, but it's even more fun in the dark!! We haven't played that for such a long time. Wish we could play with y'all. It sounds like it would be twice the fun! =D
HIDE-AND-GO-SEEK IN THE DARK IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN!!! EEEP! Haha... One time we played it at a friend's house and it was all dark except for a faint glow from their wood stove... And one of their kids, whenever he was "it", he would walk around telling the funniest jokes we'd laugh sooo hard and give away our hiding spots! Hehe! It was fun... :)
I love that game! One time, I was the last one in, and I hid in a tree that was level with the ground. The limbs and branches gave me just enough shadow to camo me, and then when my friend Kara went past (right in front of it, of course) I yelled. She Screeeeeeeeeeeeeched like a Siren!!! Once the ringing left my ears, I smiled and came out of my hiding spot. We laughed so hard. :D
Oooo, I like! I am going to have to dust my hiding skills and play this with my siblings.
Nice answer!
Ah, such memories with my youth group in our church! =) I agree, Hide-and-Go-Seek is awesome, but it's so much greater in the dark!

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
wow. have you ever played the game sardines? it's like the opposite of hide and go seek because only one person hides and then the rest split into teams and leave the room every 20 seconds and go to look for the person hiding. when they find them you hind with them until everybody is together in that one spot. anyway. when my youth group has a game night or something like that at the church we play lots of rounds (lights off to make it scarier and boy do we have a creepy huge old church!) of sardines and that is the funniest game i have seriously ever played, lol.
I just wanted to let you know that i tagged you.
I love hide and seek in the dark too! Great post!
Chare, thanks! I'll check it out! ;D
Rachel, hi there! Thanks for following my blog! Ooh, that sounds like fun! Next time Nate comes over, we will HAVE to do that! =D
Lindsay, yeah! That would be so much fun! Caldirwen is always trying to hide in places, like the fridge, freezer, dryer.... we keep having to explain to her why that is too dangerous. LOL =D
Ellie, fun! That is exactly what Nate does! *grrr* It gets on my last nerve! But, I'm pretty good at plugging my ears and biting my lip. ;)
Seth, oh that is sooo funny! I bet HIDE-AND-GO-SEEK-IN-THE-DARK will never be the same for her. lol =D
Memzie, thanks! Yes, it's a MUST play! ;D
Camden, you said it!
Oh, and, great verse! ;)
Cornet, yes, I have played Sardines! I never really enjoyed it as much as HIDE-AND-GO-SEEK, though. Especially when I'm playing with guys, because I don't like to be squeezed in a hiding spot with them. :)
Hannah, thanks! I'll come check it out! =D
Milli, gracias! I know! It's the bomb! ;D
