Miscellany Monday

Well, Miscellany Monday has rolled around at Carissa's blog. My favorite day of the week, when I can randomly update you on miscellany events in my life. :)
Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{1} Lately I have been listening to the soundtracks of Avatar, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and LOST. I normally like to listen to music with words in it, haha, but I'm hooked to these soundtracks. Especially to the soft, sad, beautiful Life & Death (aka Oceanic 815, on my playlist) from LOST. Very touching. Especially if you were a fan of the show and were attached to the characters, like I was. :)

{2} Okay, so today I was doing school (well, Science) and I was learning about movement, speed and velocity. I didn't even know that speed and velocity were two different things. I always thought "velocity" was a fancier way of saying "speed". lol :D Anyways, the book I was reading told me to get a book and set it on a table. So I did. Then it asked, "Is the book moving?" I thought, "What kind of weirdo wrote this book?" Haha. I studied the book setting on my vanity, then came to the conclusion that it was not moving. I starting reading my science book again, where I left off, and it said, "You may not notice, but the book is moving." Now, I already know, but I want you to tell me how you think this book is moving without me being able to notice it? The answer is very simple. :) I just wanna see what some of you will come up with.

{3} Caldirwen went to the park with her friend today, and Esara is sick with a cold, and is subject to her room so that she doesn't get daddy sick, so this afternoon it is just me, my parents and Narthea. Everyone but Caldirwen, mom and dad has had a cold, and we sure hope it stops at Esara. Daddy does not need to get sick, and neither does mom. She's the oil that keeps our engine running. :)

{4} I am starting a babysitting job. I'll be working Mondays and Wednesdays, 11am-4pm, watching an 18 month old little boy. I've babysat him before, and Narthea used to regularly babysit him (she quit almost a year ago), but she wants to stay home and be with mom and dad, so the parents asked me if I'd like to do it. Of course I said yes, because the little boy is so precious, and since Narthea will be 18 in December, she will get her DL and we'll have to put her on the insurance (which we don't have the money for). So some of the money I earn will be going towards that. The rest of the money I will save, probably for a car (for when I start driving). I'm determined to pay for everything I get (like a car, a house, etc.) with cash. Even though it probably won't work out like that, when I'm on my own. lol But still, I do not want to be up to my ears in debt. It does things to ya....

{5} My dad is still doing good, just in case some of you were wondering. He has been more tired lately, but physically and mentally he is still good. Our family has started eating healthy again (when dad came home from the Hospital in July, he didn't like the healthy food we were feeding him, so we switched back to... well, unhealthy food). Now we're eating no dairy, less wheat, less sugar and organic veggies, fruits and meats. Everyone is feeling much better, and we all have more energy! I love eating healthy! And yes, I am a sixteen year old teenage girl, and yes, you did read correctly. I'll say it again, I love eating healthy! Vegetables are actually really good. :) Narthea and I have really enjoyed learning how to cook with more vegetables.

Well, I think this has been a long enough Miscellany Monday post. I apologize for not posting in a few days. I wasn't able to collect all my thoughts and write a post, my mind has been running from one thing to another lately. I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far! I know I am! :)

Hope you all get better soon! Colds are miserable. And I think it's a great idea to save money for a car/house, etc. That's terrific! It's definitely wiser to pay off everything like that when you buy it, instead of putting it off and spending interest on it, etc.

Oooh, you're lucky you can babysit! I've only done it once, and it was a disaster, and the family hasn't asked me to babysit again. :)

Oh, and is the book moving because the atoms in the book are always moving? ;)

Peace,
[Laurea]

{2} hmmm...cuz the earth is spinning? :D
No clue.
I'll try to write a longer comment later, but I've gotta put the finishing touches on my own Miscellany Monday!

Well, of course the book is moving... have you ever noticed how books walk away when you need them most? They just do it on the sly most of the time...

Okay, just kidding. =}

My "serious" answer would be everything but truth is relative... =D

Thanks for posting this--it helped me catch up on what's going on in your life right now. So glad you got the babysitting job! I love babysitting. I have a part-time babysitting job, but I share it with my sister, and we only do it about once a month. It's neat how you have a steady job.

Love you!

YESSS!! *pauses* sorry about that outburst, but I finally figured out how to get my dashboard to show your blog XD I've been following for a while now, but every time I try to see updates my dashboard kept telling me that the feed was unavailable. I went for a month or so manually looking up your blog every once in a while...but now I figured out how to get it on my dashboard (*bangs head* I had to manually add it )

A Very Happy

Squeaks.

Colds are no fun at all! I hope your sister gets around to feeling better.

{2} I have no clue why the book is moving. Maybe because of the atoms in the book?

I have a job doing a paperoute with my sisters. I get 5 bucks a week. I know it isn't much. But it is better than nothing. (Me and my sisters spilt the money.)

I think eating and cooking with healthy things is fun too. (but I still like that once in awhile cookie :D ) We made one soup dish for my sister (she didn't feel very well and my mom got this from a very helathy/organic based friend) And one of the ingredient was chicken feet! We skiped that ingredent.

Oooh I love listening to soundtracks! My sister bought me the Avatar soundtrack for my birthday (she's so sweet!) and I absolutely love listening to it. Ah I just LOVE orchestras and the way the music just fills you and takes you away...

I should probably know...most likely it has to do with atoms or the earth's rotation. because everything is constantly moving then... :)

Not to worry, I'll probably be neglecting my blog soon—I got the most AMAZING book in the world yesterday... *sighs happily*

And as a random note on music, I've just gotten into music with singing! for the most part I've only listened to soundtracks...because I'm soooooo picky about singer's voices... :)

Right now my job is taking care of five doggies & 2 kitties for a lady who broke her leg. :) It pays $110 per month so, it's not too bad. Besides I was needing some SERIOUS responsibilites to kick me me out of "lazy mode."

I read something that said 'Everything vibrates'. Is that a OK answer? I know nothing of that stuff..yet that is. I hope you don't get a cold and I pray for your dad. Your babysitting job sounds fun!!!

Is the book moving because the earth is spinning? This is my highly thought of guess, because when I read the part about the book moving, I promptly laid my book that I was reading onto my desk and stared at it for like 5 minutes. After the first 3 minutes it got up and flew away, but I figured that's not the answer you were looking for so....
Sincerely,
Katherine

Answer: The book is moving because the earth is moving, but we can't see that, because we're looking at the book from POV1. If you were in outer space, watching the book, you could clearly see that it's moving. :)

See? Didn't I tell y'all the answer was quite simple? ;)
