A Little Insight

Hello my dear blogging friends! It's been a while since I've updated you on what we're doing. Sorry about that.

On Monday one of Narthea's friends arrived at our house to stay five days (she's leaving tomorrow). She lives a few hours away, so when she comes she usually stays a few days. Narthea, her friend and I have been having a good time hanging out. We've been swimming, playing cards, cooking and watching movies. One movie we watched was really awesome!! Mom dropped us off at the theaters yesterday (because dad wasn't feeling up to going, and mom needed to stay with dad and my little sisters). We saw Inception.

It was REALLY good!! =D At first I was thinking it would loose me and I'd be confused the whole time, but no, it explains everything really well. I really loved it!! It wasn't full of curse words, but there were a few here and there. Other than that, the movie was pretty clean. The man's wife doesn't always dress very appropriately, though.
Mmm, mmm. I smell the french toast that Narthea and her friend are making.

Ooh, I can't wait to eat them! They always make french toast when Narthea's friend comes over. :-)
Also, tonight I'm going with one of my friends to her Church's VBS to help out.

I've been invited to spend the night with my friend, too, but I haven't had the chance to ask mom (my friend just invited me to stay the night with her this morning and mom and dad are gone at a rehab appointment). We'll see what mom says. :-)
Dad is doing pretty good. He's tired and a little wobbly on his legs, but the rehab appointment he's at today should help him with that. :-)
Well, I'm gonna go swim with Narthea and her friend. I'll talk to you later! :-)

I wanna see that movie, But I'll prolly never see it. My grandma isn't interested and my friend doesn't watch movies like that... Yeah, I knwo right? She's weird, I mean I love her, but she won't watch ANYTHING that is anywhere sligthly exciting she likes romantic inspiring movies and maybe and occasional stupidly funny movie. Anyways *long sigh* I'll prolly never see it!

You're lucky, I've been rying to find a VBS to work at, now Summer is almost over and I still haven't been able to.

I LOVE YOU GIRL!

Bleah, I know what you mean, girl. Narthea usually doesn't like movies like that, but her friend and I really wanted to see it. If her friend wasn't here, I probably wouldn't have seen it either. :-)
lol =D But, she says she really liked it. :-)

Izori, thanks!! We are too. :-)

I'm so glad your dad is doing better! praise God!

Just curious, Eldarwen, before I ask my parents to look at the Plugged In review about it; what was your over all thought of the movie? Was it worth watching? I glanced at the Plugged In review and it had some sexual content, lots of misuses of God's name and Jesus' name, and a lot of violence; what did you think, though? Is it one that you would recommend, or just a pleasure movie?

I want to know, just so I don't make a fool of myself again asking my parents about a movie that is not rated G or PG. lol. Don't get me wrong though, all though my parents are protective about such things, I respect them for it, for I have "missed out" on a bunch of things I'm glad I have!

In Christ alone,
Buttercup

Sounds like a lot of fun! Mmmm... I bet that French toast was yummy. I'll have to ask Haley if she will make some for us soon! =D Have fun at VBS tonight. =)

Love you!!

Buttercup, no. There wasn't any sexual content in it. The main character's wife didn't always dress appropriately, so that may be what the review was referring to. Yes, there was a few curse words (which to me, includes using the Lord's name in vain which was said a few times). I think it's a really awesome movie. Also, there was not any major violence, just people shooting guns at each other. Other than those things I mentioned, yeah, the movie was great! :-)

Lindsay, yes, the french toast was yummy!! We just got through making cupcakes. Thanks! I hope I do! :-)

We usually don't go to theaters to watch movies. The only movies we ever went to were Jurassic Park, Dionsaur, Toy Story 1, Lord of the Rings, both the Narnias, and we plan on seeing The Voyage of the Dawn Treader for my sister's birthday (it comes out in theaters the day before her b-day! :)

Anyways, looks like it could be an "interesting" movie. ;)

Can't wait to design your blog's "customly, uniquely-you look" that you won for free! :) :)

I saw the trailer and it looks like a pretty good movie! Maybe, once it comes out on dvd, I can persuade Mom to put it on our Netflix queu. ;) ;)

It sounds like you girls are having fun together! :)

Love and hugs,
Haley

Sounds like you guys are having some fun! I'm glad your dad is doing good. :)

You know... we're gonna have to watch movies together when we like... get to see each other in person. All the amazing intense Jack Bower --Bourne type movies. Yeah, that'll be our thing *wink*

Hey, Eldarwen!
My sisters and borther-in-law went to see Inception last night. My brother & sister(not my brothers wife) really loved it! Yet my sister (the one that's married to my brother in law) came home crying. She didn't understand the movie really. My dad had to explain it to her that people can't really control your dreams, or something along those lines. AS far as violence, the Plugged In reveiw said there was quite a bit, but it didn't bother my family. My sister said she deffinitely wants to buy it when it comes out. My brother-in-law says he would, but my sister (his wife) pry won't let him. haha.
I'm not sure if I wanna see it or not, though. I think I'd DEFFFINITELY watch it during the day instead of at night, as I'd pry have Night mares if I watched it @ night. ;/

Anhoo, just wanted to drop my thoughts off!

Giving GOD the Glory!
