Sewing Galore

For the last few days I've been spending my afternoons sewing. :) A few weeks ago I bought tons of fabric at Fabric.com, and just a few days ago I went with momma to pick out some more fabric at Wal Mart, so I'm up to my ears in fabric right now. lol :D
About a month ago a family friend talked me into making a purse for her. I didn't have a pattern, but she wanted me to make one just like the purse I had at the time, so I did have something to give me an idea of the measurements and such. Well, since then I have made several purses just like it! They're really easy and fun to make! I don't add pockets, or other "fancy" things, therefore it usually takes me only an hour to make one. All of the purses are reversable, so there's no clasp on them to keep them closed. Anyways, long story short, I wanted to show you a few of the purses I have made recently. :)

This one is for a friend of mine.

I made this one for my older sister, Narthea.

And this one is for one of my other friends. It's for her 15th birthday, August 29th. :)

I make the straps separate, so that you can untie, and tie them together to make them however long, or short you want.

Even though they're not elaborate, I'm very proud of my purses. :)  As soon as I'm done here, I'm going to make one for me, Caldirwen (I already made one for Esara a while ago), and one for another friend of mine.

21 Greetings from Elven Friends

Gorgeous, gorgeous bags, Eldarwen! Personally, I think you could have your own online boutique or sell pocket books on etsy. You have the skill to do it! =D

Eldarwen, let me know when you start selling those fabulous purses, because I WILL want to buy one! SO CUTE--I loved them, especially the last one, and the B&W straps. *sigh* I wish I could make such lovely bags.

Wow! Thanks everyone! :D I thought about starting an etsy, but first I'd like to learn how to sew some more things. Ya know? Variety. :) Also, my family and I are pretty busy right now, so I probably won't be making an etsy any time soon. Haha Kade, you crack me up. :P

Love,
Eldarwen

Thanks Alex, Haylie and Gwen!!

Actually Gwen, my birthday is the 30th of August, we were just going to celebrate it today. :) Mom is sick, so we ended up having to postpone it.

Love,
Eldarwen
