*Warning: I might possibly spoil something for ya, so be careful!* ;)
Well, it's about time I post a review on this book. :) I finished it a while ago. :)
I thought it was a fairly descent sequel to the first one, The Lightening Thief. I liked the book and the plot, but I wasn't as captivated as I was in the first. I'm not saying it wasn't any good, but it wasn't as good as The Lightening Thief. In this story, Percy, Annabeth, and Percy's new-found brother, Tyson who's a cyclops, have to travel to the Sea of Monsters to save Percy's friend from the first book, Grover, who's in trouble. Also, half-blood, Thalia who is the daughter of Zeus who was turned into a tree and sits at Half-blood Hill has been poisoned, and she's the only thing keeping out Hades' evil "henchmen" (for lack of a better word). Percy must find the Golden Fleece to save Thalia, Grover and Half-Blood Camp. There's so much more to say about this book, but I think I've spoiled enough of it for you. ;) You really should read it, because it is a good book, but just be forewarned, it's not as good as the first. Plus, in the end (*warning, spoiler you may not want!*) Annabeth "plants a kiss" on Percy's cheek. *gag* I hate it when writers do that! Hello, Annabeth and Percy are supposed to be friends (stress the word: friends). I know, that's just a personal opinion of mine. I'd rather Rick Riordan keep them as friends, so I'm really hoping they don't become more than that in the following books. *sigh* Overall, the book was good. I give it 3 out of a 5 star rating. I enjoyed it, though. There's more adventure, and more thrill, in which I love, love, love! =D
Well, I am off to do other important things (like watch the episode of 24 that I missed on Monday night). Bleah, that's right, I missed it. But I'm going to watch it online right now!! ;)

yes, books 2&3 were never my favorite, i prefer 1,4&5 myself.
