School

Well, I'm back to doing my school now. My family and I have had a CRAZY Summer, but I wont go into any details. So, yesterday my mom said, "You have got to get back to school," so today I did school. Here is what I'm doing:

In History I'm reading two books. One is called Story of the World: Volume 4 The Modern Age and the second one is Encyclopedia of World History.

In Poetry I'm just reading one book called Painless Poetry... so not true!

I Science I'm reading a book called Exploring Creation With General Science and with that book, I have a test every week. It's a small test, so it's not big deal, but still... I strongly dislike tests!

In Bible I'm reading... can you guess?... my Bible, a book called Daring to Live on the Edge, another book called The BBC Manuel and then I have memorization.

My reader is Angel On the Square, but it was so good I finished it the first day I started reading it. I couldn't put it down. So, currently I have no reader. In case you're wondering, a reader is just a book that my curriculum tells me to read and I can read it with school, or without it, but there's no test to take afterwards. It's just for fun!

Then my workbooks consist of: Math, Wordly Wise, Spelling, Handwriting (which goes along with spelling) and an extra curricular book called Key to Fractions. I strongly dislike fractions! I mean, I'd probably like them if I were good at them, but I stink! Fractions are just not for me! I can do division really well, but most of the other subjects (besides the easy ones like multiplication, addition and subtraction) are very difficult for me to learn.
Then, I'm doing a program on the computer that is teaching me Spanish. It's fun! It's called Rosetta Stone and it's very easy, so if you're homeschooled (or even if you're not) and you are interested in learning Spanish, you should look into that curriculum because I am having fun with it and I do not like school at all!

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading that post and you weren't just sitting there thinking, "Why am I reading this?" LOL =D! Anyway, I just thought I'd tell you what I'm doing in school right now since most of the other bloggers are telling what they do.

I did the fourth story of the world in 6th grade though we didn't finish it! It had too much war for me....

Yes, it does have a lot about war in it. I like to watch battle scenes in movies and such (or read about them in Tolkien's books), but those books are all about war and some of the reasons for war don't even make any sense and I start thinking, "Why couldn't those people just get along?" But I guess I can't really understand the whole effect of everything because I wasn't there. :)

I miss all the polls! Can you put them back? Can't wait for the caption contest results! Sadly, I will be gone Friday, so I will have to find out who won on Sunday when I get back. See ya!

Sure. Do you want me to put back new polls, or the old ones?

Bye Grace!

It's that time isn't it? I am actually kind of excited to sit down and start a school year.
It's the finishing that gets rough, huh?

Blessings on your year!

I went back to school yesterday. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. I think it's going to be a great year!

Yes, it is that time. I was excited once I started doing my school, but after a few weeks it gets boring because it's just the same books, over and over. I always try to do some extra reading in my spare time to finish the boring books so I can move on the some of the more intersting ones. :)

Thank you!
